I Love Social Forums
I love forums because I meet very nice people from all over the world and it is so nice to be able to exchange ideas on marketing or building websites and blogs. I think forums started the idea of social sites, even though I am a member of a few social sites I much prefer forums as they are not as complicated or as much hard work,as when you join a social site you need to build a profile and a blog then invite friends and as there are so many people there it is hard to find people with the same interest as yourself. As in forums there are different topics so you just join the ones you like and know the people there have the same interest
so you can just jump right into the conversations. There are new forums starting up now that are like social sites One I am a member of has many new features such as being able to show your ads at the top so when members log in they see the ads plus you get credits for posting these credits keep your ads showing so the more you post the more exposure your ads get. Another thing in there is a section where you can download free stuff, and an area to find a JV partner, plus the members are a mix of expert marketers newbies and many in between the experts are there to help and advise and even give free reviews on websites and blogs. It has many more features but what I like the best it is also an affiliate site not only do you get paid to invite friends to join for free but they have other products for you to sell you get one URL and just add a number at the end for the product you want to offer,
So I think more forums like his will start popping up as they are much more targeted to an audience of a certain type of topic.
This is just my thoughts on the new kinds of sites that have been talked about as web 2.0.
